This is a test of the emergency email posting system. This is only a test.

Well, maybe just a little bit more as well.

Strange thing, this is, in Florida. A month after we get here, I'm feeling (for lack of a better phrase) just more alive. I'm feeling an urge to write more. I'm feeling more of an urge to get out; I went fishing for the first time in 7 years yesterday. (Didn't catch anything, but neither did the other people I was with. Well, they claimed to catch something when they were down the riverbank a ways, but I didn't see anything, and we all know the fishing tale rules about seeing is believing when it comes to fish... ;) )

I'm guessing it's a combination of enjoying the new job (the stress of the old, combined with the lower pay, were getting me down) and the increased sunlight. (I've been diagnosed with mild seasonal affective disorder before, and I've been getting more sun than I had in a long, long time.)

Not to say there aren't still some slower days where we don't get much done. Heck, we've planned a few; so much going on lately, we need to slow down periodically. But in spite of coming during the hot part of the year, Florida still agrees with me. I can only imagine how much more so it will come January. :)

Welcome to Live Oak!

I've had the urge strike me lately to start a blog.

This is a blog.

And now it's been started.

There are many reasons I've wanted to start a blog. The immediate impetus, I suppose, is we just moved from Ohio to Florida, and it's an easy way to keep everybody up to speed on goings on down here at once. Of course, it's an outlet for, um, something too I guess. *grin* Hoping it gets me back in the writing mode as well... there's a lot I want to get in writing from a few years back that I've just not done a good job of.

Who knows, if I get up to speed you guys might be (un)lucky enough for me to post something every day! Don't hold your breath though.

Feel free to write about anything you see here as well and let me know. Who knows, it may make a difference in what I put down..... heh. ;)
